Welcome to the all-encompassing tour of Berlin and Potsdam with a River Cruise! If you have limited time in Berlin, our tour is the perfect choice for you. We offer a unique experience by combining the highlights of Berlin with a trip to Potsdam, and an optional cruise down River Spree. Our tour is designed to be flexible, so you can choose which components you would like to book, making it ideal for everyone.
This day trip begins with two convenient pick-up spots at the Zoo in West Berlin and Alexanderplatz in East Berlin. Our team can assist with taxi arrangements for your added comfort and ease. Once you meet your knowledgeable guide, you'll board our comfortable bus and embark on an extraordinary journey. Here, you'll witness some of the most iconic landmarks in the city, such as the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Berlin Wall. You'll also visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Hitler's Bunker, and Museum Island, home to the Berliner Dom, St. Hedwig’s Cathedral, and the State Opera House.
After that, you have the option to take a river cruise along the Spree. The cruise will enable you to explore the German Government Quarter, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and the Nikolaiviertel. Alternatively, you can choose to explore the area's shops and restaurants. There are some excellent restaurants along the banks of the River Spree, where you can enjoy a delightful lunch.
In the afternoon, we'll head to Potsdam, which is approximately 45-60 minutes' drive from Berlin. During the drive, you can relax in the comfort of our air-conditioned bus, which will be at your disposal throughout the day, providing you with a place to rest and store your belongings. Along the way, you'll pass West Berlin and see further sights, such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, KaDeWe, and Kurfürstendamm.
You'll cross the Glienicke Brücke, also known as the ‘Bridge of Spies,’ and visit the Cecilienhof Palace and the Marble Palace. Next, you'll visit the downtown area to see the Brandenburg Gate before entering the lavish UNESCO site of the Sanssouci Gardens. There, you'll see the Church of Peace and approach the iconic Sanssouci Palace.
The tour culminates with a complimentary beer at the Historische Mühle before returning to Berlin.

During your visit to Berlin, you will have the opportunity to witness some of the most iconic landmarks in the city. The Berlin Wall, which divided the city for decades, is a fascinating sight to behold. This concrete barrier is a powerful reminder of the Cold War and the struggles that the city went through during this period.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, a somber reminder of the tragic history of the Jewish people in Europe. This powerful monument, designed by architect Peter Eisenman, features 2,711 concrete slabs arranged in a grid pattern. It serves as a poignant memorial to the millions of Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
One of the most intriguing sights you will see is Hitler's Bunker, which was the last refuge for the Nazi dictator during the Second World War. This underground structure is now closed to the public, but you can visit the location and learn about its history from your knowledgeable guide.
Museum Island, home to the Berliner Dom, St. Hedwig’s Cathedral, and the State Opera House, is a must-visit destination for art and culture enthusiasts. This unique island in the heart of Berlin is home to some of the world's most renowned museums, including the Pergamon Museum and the Alte Nationalgalerie.
The Berliner Dom, a stunning baroque cathedral, is a striking landmark that stands out in the island's skyline. We will be visiting the Berlin Cathedral only from the outside.
From here, you can decide whether you would like to go on a cruise of the river Spree or spend some time exploring the many shops and restaurants in the area.
The one-hour river cruise is an opportunity to explore the German Government Quarter, including the German Chancellery, as well as sites just outside of the inner city, such as the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (House of World Cultures) and the beautiful cobbled streets of the Nikolaiviertel.
As the tour heads to Potsdam, you will pass through West Berlin and witness the majestic Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, a beautiful monument that has been partially destroyed during World War II and was never fully restored to serve as a reminder of the war's devastation.
You will also see KaDeWe, the largest department store in continental Europe, and Kurfürstendamm, a bustling shopping street filled with upscale stores and cafes.
As you cross the Glienicke Brücke, or the ‘Bridge of Spies,’ you will learn about its significant history as an exchange point for spies during the Cold War.
You will then see the Cecilienhof Palace, a stunning palace where the famous Potsdam Conference was held in 1945. The Marble Palace, with its intricate sculptures and beautiful gardens, is another must-visit sight. We will be visiting the Cecilienhof only from the outside.
In downtown Potsdam you will see your second Brandenburg Gate of the day! This magnificent structure stands tall as a symbol of German unity and is a truly breathtaking sight to behold. The gate was built in the 18th century and has been an important part of German history ever since.
After admiring the Brandenburg Gate, make your way to the Sanssouci Gardens. These gardens are a true masterpiece of Baroque landscaping and have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you stroll through the gardens, you'll be able to marvel at the perfectly manicured hedges and the intricate fountains that are scattered throughout the grounds. The gardens were designed to complement the nearby Sanssouci Palace, which was once the summer residence of the Prussian royal family.
As you approach the Sanssouci Palace, you'll likely feel a sense of awe at the sheer grandeur of the building. This impressive summer palace was built in the 18th century and is considered to be one of the most important examples of Rococo architecture in the world. The palace has an air of opulence and extravagance that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who visit it. We will be visiting the Sanssouci only from the outside.
The Potsdam tour offers a unique opportunity to witness the extravagant architecture and royal history of the city. You will be able to delve into the city's fascinating past and marvel at its grand palaces, opulent gardens, and significant landmarks. After a day filled with sightseeing, the tour culminates with a complimentary beer at the Historische Mühle, a historic mill where you can relax and enjoy a complimentary beer before returning to Berlin.
